Beverly had her first piano performance at age 10 as a soloist with the Durban Symphony Orchestra (S. Africa) playing Mozart. She continued to perform & broadcast, & at 16 was nominated for the Royal Academy of Music Scholarship.
She has received degrees from University of Natal & Witwatersrand (S. Africa), as well as Licentiates in Teaching & Performing (Piano). Beverly studied music / piano with distinguished teachers including Adolph Hallis & Moira Birks, & was privileged to have private masterclasses with world renown artists such as Peter Frankel & Menachem Pressler.
Beverly, a dedicated piano teacher of broad experience, prepares piano students of all ages for AMEB, Royal Schools, and Trinity Examinations with excellent results. She has a particular interest in technique, musicality, the power of focus, and listening. She has much success with adults. She also teaches Theory and Musicianship. Beverly has taught & been accompanist at many schools in Sydney and now works from her private studio in Double Bay, Eastern Suburbs.
Beverly presents Courses in Music Appreciation for Adults. She runs evening, morning & weekend sessions. Her present courses deal with the Classical & Romantic Periods. See music appreciation for more information.
